San Francisco is a great town for dining and listening to music. Here are some favorites:
- Bix (Jackson Square) is a sophisticated supper club known with live jazz every night. Bix is know for their martinis (check out the giant bowl of iced martini glasses on the bar.
- 1300 on Fillmore (Fillmore) serves eclectic Southern food with a French influence, live music in the lounge on Fridays at 8:30. Don’t miss the Sunday Gospel Brunch.
- Biscuits and Blues (Union Square) is a blues nightclub serving southern cuisine and great music where your dinner reservations assures you of a great table.
- Yoshi’s SF (Fillmore) has a full service Japanese and serves small plates in their music lounge which features primarily Jazz, but also R&B and some new artists.
- Tonga Room (Nob Hill) features Pacific Rim specialties, tropical décor with a $7 cover charge for the music. A Mai-Tai is a must.
- Les Joulins Jazz Bistro (Union Square), San Francisco’s oldest jazz club, serves French-Mediterranean Cuisine with a full, live Jazz Band every night.
- Café Claude (Union Square) is a French Bistro featuring Paris Café style food features live music Thursdays – Saturdays.
- Pa’ina Lounge & Restaurant (Japantown) serves Asian-fusion food and offers a variety of music, from 40’s (both Top 40’s and 1940’s) to R&B.
- Lefty O’Doul’s (Union square) has cafeteria style pub food with you can enjoy with a talented piano player-vocalist.
- Savanna Jazz (Mission) is a fusion of French, Caribbean and West African dishes along with Jazz, Brazilian and Latin Jazz music six nights a week.
